Class Descriptions

Guided Meditation

For those of you who have said “I wish I could meditate but I can’t,” this practice is for you. This is a simple practice of sitting together and paying attention. Class will begin with some gentle movements to relax the body. Those who can not find comfort sitting crossed legged are encouraged to find a posture that works for them using props or a chair. The emphasis is on meeting your experience as it is, with patience and kindness. No prior meditation experience is needed. If you can’t sit still you are welcome to move mindfully when you need to. If your mind wanders, that is okay too.

Gentle Yoga

A slow and supportive movement practice designed to help you feel mobile and relaxed. Morning classes will focus on flowing movements to get your body ready for the day ahead, evening classes will incorporate flow and static holds to stretch out the tension from the adventures of your day. Gentle Yoga classes emphasise ease and connection with breath, offering space to explore movement without the pressure of “keeping up”. All yoga classes at The Loop include meditation and breath work.

Vigorous Yoga

An active and heat building movement class that builds strength, stamina, and focus. Students are encouraged to listen closely to their bodies, explore challenge with curiosity, and cultivate steadiness and ease. Morning Vinyasa Yoga classes include a flow structure linking movement with breath and evening classes include flow and static holds. All yoga classes at The Loop include meditation and breath work.

Flexibility & Mobility

A practical class focused on improving range of motion, joint health, and everyday movement. Through targeted stretching and mobility exercises, students support physical longevity and ease. This class is accessible to a wide range of bodies and abilities. This class does not include meditation or breathwork and is great for students who do not like the spiritual element of yoga classes.

Strength Training

A functional strength class that supports stability, balance, and confidence in movement. Using bodyweight and simple equipment, this class complements yoga and daily life by building strength safely and effectively. This class does not include meditation or breathwork and is great for students who do not like the spiritual element of yoga classes.

Restorative Yoga

A deeply restful practice designed to support nervous system regulation and recovery. Using props and long-held, comfortable positions, Restorative Yoga offers time to slow down, soften, and replenish. All yoga classes at The Loop include meditation, breath work, and other elements of the yoga tradition unrelated to poses. This class invites stillness as a meaningful practice in itself.

Assisted Stretch Sessions

An assisted stretch session is a specialized recovery modality that utilizes neuro-musculoskeletal manipulation to optimize joint range of motion and flexibility of your muscles and connective tissue (fascia). By combining relaxing gentle stretches with advanced proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation techniques, we systematically reduce stiffness, correct postural distortions, and down-regulate your nervous system.
